Intimate Organics is a business with which I had a love-hate relationship even before I tried any of its products. I enjoyed the fact that they have unique scents–like cocoa bean & goji berry instead of standard vanilla or cinnamon–but hated the fact that when the only natural components in their goods are vital oils, they called themselves “organic.” However, as I don’t consume the massage oil, I can get past that. So when I was offered the opportunity by PinkCherry.com to review some I grabbed it with joy.
I understand some individuals believe that our preference in odors should mature as we get older, but I still like something that definitely smells like candy and IO massage oil. I had a preview of how the scent would smell as I got the matching body soufflé from the beautiful Wilhelmina Wang the day before, so I realized I’d love it already. You understand when you were a child you enjoyed the raspberry hot chocolate mix? It smells just like that, which is amazing.
But obviously you don’t want to just sit around and smell the things, so I’m going to inform you how it works. In a nutshell, how does it operate? Incredibly well. Sweet almond oil, sunflower oil and coconut oil are the primary three oils it consists of, all of which have excellent moisturizing characteristics and absorb well into the skin. This means that your skin or anyone who receives the massage will not feel as slippery as it would be with distinct, less absorbent oils, but it will be smooth enough to provide some glide.
I used about 1/2 a teaspoon on the back of my partner for a brief 10-minute massage. It absorbed after that, so I would suggest reapplying if you want to do a longer massage when it begins absorbing too much. It will be chaotic if you just dump a ton on the individual to begin with, so begin with around 1/2 teaspoon and construct from there. Using less than more is better as you want the bottle to last as long as possible.
Overall, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this item to anyone who wants sweet, moisturized skin. It’s a bit precious, but I think it’s worth the additional couple of bucks for a luxurious sweet smelling massage.
